Is my old Thaicom satellite dish suitable to receive the new Measat broadcast?
Yes. There will not be a noticeable decrease in footprint power on Measat and in-fact some areas may find increased signal levels.

What is the migration window?
October 22 – December 15 2008

Who do I contact to arrange authorisation of my new Measat service?
Our call centre is available between 9am – 5pm AEDST on +61 2 8204 0840

Will my old decoder and smartcard work on the Measat service?
No. The new signal is broadcast in MPEG 4 8PSK and not suitable to your old decoder unit.

Should I keep or change over my old smartcard?
No. Old smartcards must be returned to Sky Channel – The new decoder is provided with a matching smart card.

Do I need to change or upgrade parts on my Satellite dish?
No. Your dish and receiving LNB will be suitable to the new broadcast. You should consider protection from terrestrial interference by fitting a C-Band filter at the time your technician is repointing your dish.

Who should repoint my satellite dish?
You will need to contact your regular or local Satellite service or Installation Company and book a service call to install your new decoder and repoint your dish.

What are the new dish co-ordinators for Measat?

Is a test channel available on Measat to confirm reception?
Yes a “Free to Air” test channel will be available on Sky 3 and contain details on activating your new service.

What happens if I don’t repoint my dish before the 15th December?
You will lose reception of your Sky Racing channel. You must repoint your dish and upgrade your decoder to receive the new Measat broadcast
