Hennessy Gold Cup winner who has won his past 3 starts brilliantly and looks ideally place in this race. Has been a risky jumper in the past but trainer Willie Mullins appears to have him firing now. Entered for the Ryanair Chase and will run a strong 4225m.
Couldn’t have been more impressive winning the G2 Argento Chase over 5200m here in January in an outstanding Cheltenham Gold Cup trial. He will be at very attractive odds with champions Kauto Star and Long Run in the Gold Cup but he represents value as a five-time Cheltenham winner.
One of the most impressive jumps winners seen in the UK in years when he won a Grade 2 at Newbury hard-held last month after cruising for the entire trip. Won’t be big odds in the Arkle Chase but just might be trainer Nicky Henderson’s next superstar.
Very smart young hurdler from the Dermot Weld yard and doesn’t need to improve much on his recent G1 Juvenile Hurdle win at Leopardstown to be a major contender in this race. Has only won once from five hurdle starts but was second three times after unseating the rider on his jumps debut. Entered for the Triumph Hurdle and looks a value bet with natural improvement.
