All FOXTEL subscribers can tune in to the showcase presentation of the world’s richest greyhound race, the TAB Melbourne Cup on Thursday evening.
To celebrate the big race, Sky is offering open access to Sky Racing2 (Channel 520) to all FOXTEL subscribers for Thursday only. Sky Racing2 is normally restricted to Sky Racing+ subscribers.
The Group 1 $500,000 TAB Melbourne Cup is not only one of Australia’s most prestigious greyhound races, it commands attention from many parts of the world, and Sky’s multi-camera broadcast of the event will feature in-depth form analysis, extended pre and post-race interviews and all the latest betting information.
Sky Racing’s Chief Operating Officer, Brendan Parnell is pleased to open up Sky Racing2 for all FOXTEL subscribers for the big event.
“Many Sky Racing viewers are keen greyhound racing fans and I’m certain they will thoroughly enjoy the Open Access to the special broadcast on Sky Racing2,” Mr Parnell said.
Greyhound Racing Victoria’s CEO, Adam Wallish commented on the increase in greyhound racing’s popularity and is thrilled Sky has extended its broadcast of the big event.
“Greyhound racing commands around 20 per cent of the wagering dollar in Victorian racing and in the past decade the popularity of the sport has continued to grow,” Mr Wallish said.
“It is fantastic that our fans will have the opportunity to watch Sky Racing2’s extended TAB Melbourne Cup coverage from Sandown Park.”
Sky will be rolling out the experts for the special coverage with Dave Carlson, Simone Fisher, Tim Newbold, Mark Duclos and TAB’s Glenn Munsie all on board.
The special showcase presentation commences on Sky Racing2 at 6.40pm (AEDT) on Thursday, with all races from Sandown Park also broadcast on Sky Racing1.
