Awtaad aiming to bounce back in Boomerang outing

 Aug 28 2016

The Group Two event is on the first day of Irish Champions Weekend, which concludes at the Curragh 24 hours later.

Trained by the veteran Kevin Prendergast, the Cape Cross colt lost little in defeat when third behind Galileo Gold and The Gurkha in the St James's Palace Stakes after his Classic success.

However, he could only finish a five-length eighth of 10 in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood.

"Awtaad is on very good terms with himself, he couldn't be better," said Prendergast.

"He's going to go for the Group Two at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend."
