Bruss, Lebala appointed to NHA board

Robin Bruss, who has been around horses and horseracing his entire life, and Advocate Simmy Lebala, were appointed to the board of directors of the National Horseracing Authority at their Annual General Meeting on 17 January in order to fill two vacancies.

Bruss comes from a racing family and has been involved with horseracing and breeding all his life.  He previously served on the National Board from 2006 to 2015.  He has a passion for the industry and has been active as an owner, breeder, agent, auctioneer, journalist, television presenter, researcher, administrator and consultant.

Lebala has been active as a legal practitioner for a number of years and Senior Counsel status was conferred on him in 2008. Over the years he has chaired a number of boards and various commissions.  He represents a number of government departments in litigation matters as Senior Counsel.
