When does this change occur?

The media centre subscription model takes into effect on the 18th of March, current and past subscribers now have the ability to view their membership status so you know whether or not to extend or update your plan. Simply log on to skyracing.tv or click here to check.

Why are you now charging for subscription?

As you may have been aware the Sky Racing Media Centre free trial period promotion was for a limited time only. The start of this promotion coincided with the launch of our new-look website in late 2012. Due to the huge number of features, it is necessary to charge a small fee to ensure all systems are maintained to the highest level and content can be provided for racing enthusiasts. It is important to note that the Sky Racing Media Centre is a separate service to the one we offer via Foxtel. We use a similar model for customers to access content online as the AFL, NRL and many other sporting & media companies.

You are introducing fees but I still can't watch on my computer in full screen, why not?

To ensure we continue to provide good quality race vision to all subscribers the screen size is kept at a recommended aspect ratio which maximises your viewing experience and does not burn through your monthly download quota. From 18th March you will notice the screen size is slightly larger for race replays.

I received an email saying my subscription is due but there is no way of paying it?

In order to extend your subscription, you will need to log on to the Sky Racing Media Centre (on the top right hand side of our website), with your email address and password then click 'Edit My Details' and follow the prompts to your extend your subscription. Payment can only be made after Monday 18 March 2013.

How do I watch live races and race replays on the Sky Racing Media Centre?

If you are using an Apple Mac or a PC, you are able to access live and replayed videos at skyracing.tv. Some video content is free including episodes of Inside Running and Sky Racing Web News but to access live racing vision and our huge database of race replays - you need to:

  • Have a Victorian or NSW TAB account (in which case you do not need a subscription) OR
  • Have a Sky Racing Media Centre subscription (costs $5 per day, $20 per month or $150 per year).

Once you have subscribed to the Media Centre you will receive an activation email which you need to open and click on the link in order to activate your account, then you can sign in on the top right hand side of our website with your chosen email address and password.

Or if you're a Victorian or NSW TAB member – you do not need a Sky Racing Media Subscription. You can simply log in with your NSW or Victorian TAB member number and password on the top right hand side of our website then access our great content.

I am having issues with online racing replays. They are not working – what should I do?

Please try the following steps:

  • Log out, then log back in again.
  • Clear all browsing history, caches.
  • Ensure you have the latest version of your internet browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer etc)
  • Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player
  • Reboot your computer and log in again
  • Keep in mind it may be an issue with your internet connection in which case you will need to contact your ISP (internet service provider).

If you are still experiencing issues with our race replays after that, the best thing for you to do is report the exact replay (name of track, race number and the date) via our online feedback system so our IT Department can rectify these issues as soon as possible.

Alternatively if no replays are working and your matter is urgent you can call the TAB customer service on 131 802.

Live streaming issues: Delay/interrupted/pixelated/ loss of quality etc?

  • Log out, then log back in again.
  • Clear all browsing history, caches.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of your internet browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer etc)
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player
  • Reboot your computer and log in again
  • Keep in mind it may be an issue with your internet connection in which case you will need to contact your ISP (internet service provider).

If you are still experiencing issues with our race replays after that, the best thing for you to do is report the exact details of your issue (Can you access the audio content? Race replay content? Catch Up content? Are you getting a specific error message) via our online feedback system so our IT Department can rectify these issues as soon as possible.

We are constantly working to improve the quality of our streaming service to provide all of our users with the best possible online viewing experience.

As a subscriber can I access the Media Centre/Live streaming/Replays whilst overseas?

You are able to access certain parts of the Sky Racing Media Centre internationally however there are some you cannot access.

You are able to: View information and form on our website www.skyracing.tv, listen to live audio, listen to audio replays, watch past episodes of our magazine programs via catch up online, watch race replays (if you are signed up).

You are not able to: Watch live racing via the media centre. This content is geo-blocked meaning this content can only be accessed in Australia.

Trouble Shooting Procedure

Please try the following steps:

  • Log out, then log back in again.
  • Clear all browsing history, caches.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of your internet browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.)
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player
  • Reboot your computer and log in again
  • If the video still appears black after that - please ensure you have the Shockwave Flash add-on in your internet browser. To enable Shockwave (in Internet Explorer) go to> Tools menu > Internet Options. On Programs tab click Manage add-ons> select Shockwave Flash object (Active X control) then select enable. To do so in Firefox go to Tools > Options > General tab > Manage Add-ons > Plugins tab > select Shockwave Flash > Enable.
